We are still crunching numbers and analysing data, but here are the headlines:

254 people entered including 21 pillion passengers
Before the start there were 11 cancellations (includes 2 pillions)
We had 51 no-shows (7 more pillions)
192 participants crossed the start line, that's 180 bikes because 12 of those had passengers
During the event we had 8 that didn't come back; 4 had mechanical problems, 2 had punctures, 1 had a family problem and 1 accident
From the remaining 172 bikes, all less 4 came back in under 24 hours
The 180 bikes that left used all 4 routes, but the north was definitely more popular than the south. 161 bikes went north, only 19 went south.

I can remember quite a few mutterings as some passed in through the entrance to Squires at the end of the ride (cant repeat them on the forum lol) .... But most were grinning ear to ear.. Well done ALL..........

Average age of riders: 46 years and 9 months
Dave v John: 17 Dave/Davids; 8 John/Jons. Dave wins.
Smith v Jones: 2 Smiths, no retirements, all under 24 hours; 3 Jones, no retirements, all under 24 hours. Smiths included a Goldwing, Jones had a BMW. Smiths win (who said I was prejudiced, that’s right, I am).
I am just making it up now, no more stats until 2012.
Date for diary RBLR 1000 2012 will be from Friday 22 June to Sunday 24 June 2012 (it is always the weekend closest to 21 June).

Was this the bloke on the blue sprint who filled it up with diesel? If it was, that shouldn't count as mechanical error. Us Triumph riders have to put up with enough without you making it worse.

it would count as a mechanical failure; the triumph should be able to run on diesel

have i miscounted but the bike stats only add up to 179 .....but 180 started. was someone embarrassed about riding a Honda?
